The 1940's Society - Sevenoaks
An Evening with Humphrey Jennings - Carol Harris
Humphrey Jennings produced and directed some outstanding documentary films of the 1930's & 1940s. His wartime films for the crown film are masterpieces and his social documentaries give us a glimpse of the ordinary people.

Carol will be discussing his work and showing excepts from his films.
Come along for what will be a fascinating and enjoyable evening.

The 1940's Society - Sevenoaks
French Resistance During the Second World War by Terry Crowdy.
Author & historian Terry Crowdy will be giving a presentation on the French Resistance, how it was organised and run, and the role of British security services in its organisation. Terry spoke to us inSeptember 2009 when he spoke on 'Deceiving Hitler' and we're delighted to have him back for what I'm sure will be a fascinating evening.
