Its nice to come across a museum that specialises exclusively on wartime Britain.

The Britain at War Experience does just this.

We spent 2 1/2 - 3 hours at this museum and had a most enjoyable time. We do have a habit of reading everything though so if you tend to browse through museums you may do it a lot quicker.

The displays and dioramas are done extremely well and the museum is very much a 'hands on experience' rather than the traditional type museum.

This makes it an especially good place to take children,
with lots to see and do.

The Britain at War Experience gives a good indication of what life during the Blitz was like and should serve as a good introduction to anyone interested in Britain in the 1940's.
