			The Home Guard An excellent book. Full of photographs and information about this important wartime force.				Put That Light Out A detailed and fully illustrated study of Britain's wartime Civil Defence services from 1939 to 1945.


			The Home Front A very good basic guide to Britains Home Front during WW2.				Danger UXB The remarkable story of the disposal of unexploded bombs during the Second World War.


			Finest Hour The terror, the tragedy and the triumph of the Battle of Britain told through the voices of the men & women who lived, loved and died.				The War and Uncle walter The wartime diaries of Walter Musto. A fascinating insight into day to day life during WW2.

			The Victory Cookbook A 1940's Recipe book with pictures, information, tips and good ideas for when you need to make the most of the rations you have..

	Fashion

			Vintage Wedding Simple ideas for creating a romantic vintage wedding.

							The Dam Busters An excellent book examining this very famous wartime mission. Well written and great photographs.

	Fiction

			Hong Kong Boy A fictional account (though based on fact) of life in a Japanese internment camp during WW2.				The Forties Man An amusing fictional book, set in modern times, about a man obsessed with wartime Britain.

			Mrs Miniver A pre-war account of a how a middle class family cope with the preparations for war (Pub 1943).				Shingle Street Incorporating myth, fact and fiction this lively and exciting story explores the possibility of a German Invasion of Britain during WW2.
