Subscribing to the 1940s Society Bi-Monthly magazine is now completely FREE. Just fill out the form at the very bottom of this page and you will receive our electronic version of the magazine as each is published.

The 1940's Society hold regular meetings with lectures and discussions on different aspects of the 1940's. Despite the Home Front being of particular interest to members, subjects vary widely and have included lectures on French escape lines and the Russian Front. Regular film evenings are also popular with classic wartime films and propaganda shorts being shown.

Meetings are informal and friendly with refreshments and cakes always proving to be popular.

The Society also produces a regular magazine for members which include up to date information and news & views for those interested in 1940's issues. The magazine has proved especially popular for those unable to attend meetings and is published bi-monthly.

Since January 2016 we are delighted that the magazine has moved away from the traditional printed form and has become an electronic publication which is sent out to subscribers throughout the world. This allows us to include video and sound which is a big bonus. We even include excerpts from our regular meetings which is fantastic for those that can't attend.
